‘My practice looks at traditional homeware and tableware objects and aims to reintroduce them as pieces that can carry cultural meaning and value. I take familiar forms from domestic settings and reimagine them in more organic, sculptural ways, transforming everyday objects into pieces that feel more expressive and alive.
Growing up in Panama, surrounded by tropical landscapes, I have always felt a deep connection to nature and, especially, to the vibrancy of the tropics. I use my ceramics as a canvas to illustrate natural landscapes and botanical imagery drawn from the environment I grew up in. I am inspired by color, movement, and texture, and through my work I aim to transmit a sense of whimsical vitality, and appreciation for nature.’
